Celtic High Cross Handmade Deer Antler Kilt Pin Cap Badge

The body of this pin is made from the end of the deer antler closest to the head known as the crown or burr. This part of the antler is known for it's bumpy growths. Because of these bumps, no two antlers are ever the same.
Do not worry. No deer were harmed in the procurement of the deer antler crowns. They are from sheds (naturally cast off by the animal every year).
This means that they are found after the deer has dropped or cast their antlers. The shedding season can vary greatly from one geographic area to the next but it usually occurs between mid December and early April.
In the center of the crown, you will find a metal Celtic high cross medallion that measures 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall and .5 inches (1.8 cm) wide. It is antique silver in color.
