Modern Scottish Thistle Gray Vertical Messenger Bag Gray Cotton Canvas
Are you proud of your Scottish heritage? Are you looking for a good carry all bag? Do you want something modern and a bit dark? This small vertical style messenger may be just what you're looking for. It is made of gray cotton canvas and features a thistle design with a lacy appearance.
The Scottish thistle design is embroidered to the center of the front flap. The thistle flower is on the right of the design with its leaves creating an oval. In the center there is a web of stitching that looks like lace. Along the sides there are a few small feather motifs. All of the stitching is done in black thread giving the bag a modern and almost gothic appearance.
Why embroidery? Embroidery is very tactile, visually dynamic and durable. The stitches of an embroidery design become part of the item it is stitched to. Other forms of embellishment, such as screen printing or heat transfer, adhere only to the top fibers of the cloth. This means that the embroidery should last as long as the item.
This bag style is known as a field bag or vertical messenger. It is made out of gray cotton canvas. The color is called smoke. You can adjust the shoulder strap so the bag can be worn either over the shoulder or across the body. To hold the bag closed there are two turn style clasps on the front.
There are two pockets to this bag, the cavernous main pocket and a small zippered pocket. The main pocket can hold a lot of stuff. A Spiral bound notebook, tablet, water bottle and wallet would all fit at once in this pocket. For your little things, such as cell phone, keys, coins and cash, the zippered pocket is perfect.
