Deer Antler Kilt Pin Cap Badge with Silver Celtic Center
Are you looking for a kilt pin that will always be unique? Do you want something a little more natural and rustic than a cast metal pin? This pin was made from shed deer antler with metal Celtic medallion.
The body of this pin is made from the end of the deer antler closest to the head known as the crown or burr. This part of the antler is known for it's bumpy growths. Because of these bumps, no two antlers are ever the same.
Do not worry. No deer were harmed in the procurement of the deer antler crowns. They are from sheds (naturally cast off by the animal every year).
This means that they are found after the deer has dropped or cast their antlers. The shedding season can vary greatly from one geographic area to the next but it usually occurs between mid December and early April.
In the center of the crown, you will see a metal Celtic knot medallion that measures 7/8 inch (2.2 cm). It is antique silver in color.
This pin measures 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) Tall by 1 7/8 inches (4.8 cm) Wide.
On the back there are two tie tack style pins to attach the pin to your chosen clothing item.
There is some heft to this pin, but no more than that of the cast metal clan badges that you find to put on your tam. This means it works great to keep that kilt down.
Your pin will be sent USPS with tracking information.
